  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 packet McCormick Country Gravy Mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided in half
  • 6 1/2 ounces canned clams, drained
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
  2. Cook the bacon in a large skillet on medium-high heat until crisp.
  3. Remove the bacon, reserving drippings in the pan.
  4. Add the onion to the pan, then cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until translucent.
  5. Stir in the gravy mix, milk and half of the shredded cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes or until gravy starts to thicken.
  6. Remove from heat, and stir in the clams.
  7. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch glass pie plate.
  8. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  10. Sprinkle with the cooked bacon and parsley.


 It’s best enjoyed on a toasted baguette or water crackers.
