1packetMcCormick Country Gravy Mix
1cupshredded Cheddar cheese, divided in half
6 1/2ouncescanned clams, drained
2teaspoonsdried parsley flakes
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
Cook the bacon in a large skillet on medium-high heat until crisp.
Remove the bacon, reserving drippings in the pan.
Add the onion to the pan, then cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until translucent.
Stir in the gravy mix, milk and half of the shredded cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes or until gravy starts to thicken.
Remove from heat, and stir in the clams.
Pour the mixture into a 9-inch glass pie plate.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Sprinkle with the cooked bacon and parsley.
It’s best enjoyed on a toasted baguette or water crackers.
