Italian Turkey Meatball Sliders

Messy and marvelous meatballs, made with low fat turkey rather than the traditional pork and beef, and covered in marinara and mozzarella cheese. Skill Level: Beginner

  • 1 spray olive oil cooking spray
  • 1 pound ground turkey (7% fat)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups spaghetti sauce (marinara)
  • 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 16 mini burger slider buns
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400 ┬░F.
  2. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil and mist with cooking spray.
  3. Combine turkey, garlic, egg white, onion, bell peppers, Italian seasoning, sun-dried tomatoes and black pepper.
  4. Form 2 meatballs per serving and transfer to baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 8 minutes, flip and bake 4 more minutes.
  6. Spoon marinara over meatballs and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Switch to broiler setting and broil to 3 to 4 minutes, until cheese is bubbling.  
  8. Serve on a bun and enjoy!
