Beef Lo Mein

  • 4 ounces lo mein noodles
  • 1/2 pound top round steak, cut into small strips
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups frozen mixed stir-fry vegetables
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce or tamari


  1. Cook the lo mein noodles as directed on package. Drain well.
  2. Toss the beef with the oil, ginger and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  3. Heat a large skillet on medium heat. Add the beef, then cook and stir 5 minutes, or until no longer pink.
  4. Add the vegetables, then cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  5. Add the cooked noodles, hoisin sauce and soy sauce. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately.
