Ingredients

  • 2 cups bread cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bleu cheese, for dressing
  • 2 pounds boneless sirloin steak
  • 2 Tablespoons McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 8 cups coarsely chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • 1/2 cup halved cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup crumbled bleu cheese, for salad

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 ┬░F.
  2. For the croutons, cut the bread into 1-inch cubes, and place in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle the cubes with olive oil, and toss to coat.
  4. Sprinkle with the Italian seasoning and garlic.
  5. Arrange the cubes in a single layer on a shallow baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven, and allow to cool.
  8. Meanwhile, for the bleu cheese dressing, place the mayo, yogurt, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, vinegar, half and half into a blender jar or food processor.
  9. Blend until smooth.
  10. Add half of the crumbled blue cheese, and pulse until smooth.
  11. Transfer the dressing to a small bowl, and gently stir in remaining blue cheese for the dressing.
  12. Cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  13. Sprinkle both sides of the steak with the steak seasoning, and massage it into the steak.
  14. Grill over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  15. Let the steak stand 5 minutes before cutting across the grain into thin slices.
  16. Arrange the lettuce on a large serving platter, topping with the steak, red onion, avocado, tomatoes, croutons and blue cheese for the salad.
  17. Serve with blue cheese dressing.
