  • 1/2 cup Korean red chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 Tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 pounds chicken wing
  • 1 cup Asian pear, thick sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion (scallion)
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds

  1. Mix the hot pepper sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, sesame oil and ginger in a medium bowl until well blended.
  2. Place the chicken in a large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add a bit less than half of the marinade to the bag, then toss to coat well.
  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Reserve remaining marinade.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375 ┬░F.
  5. Remove the chicken from the bag, placing chicken on a foil-lined large baking pan and discarding used marinade.
  6. Bake 30 minutes, turning chicken halfway through cooking.
  7. Place the pear slices in a large bowl. Add the cooked chicken and 1/2 of the reserved marinade, then toss to coat well.
  8. Grill the chicken and pear slices over medium-high heat 5 minutes, or until grill marks appear, turning occasionally.
  9. Toss the chicken and pear slices with remaining reserved marinade in a large bowl.
  10. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seed.
