  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
  2. Mix the ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, cinnamon and red pepper in a small bowl until well blended. Reserve 2 tablespoons for brushing.
  3. Place the pork in a large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add the remaining marinade, then turn to coat well.
  4. Refrigerate for 15 minutes, or longer for extra flavor.
  5. Transfer the pork from the marinade into a shallow baking pan. Discard any remaining marinade.
  6. Bake about 20 to 25 minutes, or until desired doneness.
  7. Remove from the oven.
  8. Brush the pork with reserved marinade.
  9. Broil 5 to 10 minutes, or until pork is lightly charred.
