  • 8 ounces bacon, chopped
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 6 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 pounds white potato, rinsed, cubed
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt

  1. Cook the bacon in a large nonstick skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet, and drain on paper towels. Set aside. Reserve 2 tablespoons of drippings in the skillet.
  2. Stir the onion into the skillet. Cook and stir on medium-high heat 2 minutes, or until tender.
  3. Add the shredded cabbage, then mix well. Cover. Cook on medium heat 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the smaller portion of seasoned salt.
  5. Meanwhile, place the potatoes in a large saucepan. Cover with water. Bring to a boil on high heat. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain well.
