1cupspaghetti sauce (marinara), for the ground beef
1/4cupchopped fresh basil , divided in half
1/4cupchopped fresh parsley , divided in half
3cupscheese ravioli, about 6-7 per serving
2cupsspaghetti sauce (marinara), for the pasta
3/4cupshredded mozzarella cheese, for the middle
1 1/4cupsshredded mozzarella cheese, for the top
2Tablespoonsgrated Parmesan cheese
Heat oven to 350 °F. Coat a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Crumble the ground beef into a large nonstick skillet. Cook for 5 minutes over medium-high heat, until browned. Discard excess fat.
Remove from heat, and stir in the marinara sauce for the beef, half the basil and half the parsley.
Meanwhile, cook the ravioli for 5 minutes in boiling water. Drain, and return to pot.
Stir in the sauce for the pasta, remaining basil and parsley.
Pour half the ravioli into the prepared baking dish, spreading level. Top with meat sauce and the shredded mozzarella for the middle. Add the remaining ravioli to dish, and top with remaining shredded mozzarella and the Parmesan.
Bake at 350 °F for 20 minutes.
Broil ravioli for 2 minutes.
