  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 sprays cooking spray


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 ┬░F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar and vanilla with a whisk until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the flour, cocoa, chocolate chips, cinnamon and salt until combined.
  5. Line a 9x13-inch pan with aluminum foil, and spray with nonstick spray.
  6. Spread the batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 26 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
