Ingredients

  • 24 ounces boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 Tablespoons reduced-sodium chicken broth or stock

Preparation

  1. Place chicken in the slow-cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours.
  4. Remove chicken to a cutting board and shred with 2 forks.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and chicken broth.
  6. Stir into sauce in the slow-cooker, cover, and cook until sauce is thickened and heated through (5 to 10 minutes.)
  7. Return chicken to the slow-cooker, stir, cover, and continue cooking on low for 45 minutes.
