Grilled Spinach Alfredo Pizza

A cheesy mixture of bacon, chicken breast and spinach warmed in Alfredo sauce combine to make a great topping for this California-style grilled pizza. Skill Level: Intermediate

  • 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough, at room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup prepared Alfredo sauce
  • 2 cups frozen spinach, thawed, well drained
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled


  1. Heat grill to medium heat.
  2. Roll dough into a 12-inch round on a lightly floured surface. Brush evenly with half the oil. Place, oiled side down, on the grill grate.
  3. Grill 5 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown and lightly charred.
  4. Brush with remaining oil; turn.
  5. While grilling the pizza crust, cook and stir Alfredo sauce in a medium saucepan on medium heat 4 to 5 minutes or until heated through.
  6. Stir in spinach and crushed pepper. Keep warm.
  7. Top the pizza crust with the spinach mixture, cheese, chicken, and bacon; cover grill with lid.
  8. Grill 5 to 7 minutes or until bottoms of crusts are golden brown and cheese is melted.
