Here is what I learned I could now do with the help of my Pantry Manager:
To start, I cleaned out my pantry, fridge and freezer. It was pretty upsetting to see the full trash bag of wasted food and spices but also cathartic. I discovered five different bottles of balsamic vinegars plus many other duplications such as dried dill and Italian breadcrumbs. There were even items in my cupboard that I don’t recall purchasing.
Next, I logged into my DinnerTime account and opened my Pantry Manager. It took no time at all to add everything to my pantry list. You’re able to add a lot of similar items by section all at once (click, click, click!), or add items one at a time. I was able to indicate which items were running low, which ones I wanted to use up soon, and even search to discover recipes for ingredients I didn’t know how to use!
Plus, I added the items I want to buy each time I go to the store, such as bananas, eggs and milk. For these, I indicated they are a “frequent purchase.” They will show up on every grocery list without having to manually add them each time.
After creating my next meal plan, I opened my Grocery List and noticed that the items that I had added to my pantry were marked “found in pantry.” No more buying anything I do not need. It also reminded me which items were “running low,” so to add them to the list if this was a good time to buy more. As I checked off items on my grocery list, I was also able to add (or remove) items from the pantry.
I created my last meal plan from my office and as I edited my Grocery List I realized I did not have to check to see if I have frozen chicken on hand or the marjoram for Thursday night’s recipe. My Pantry Manager already has that information for me. No more second guessing and overspending.

What a relief it is to be organized. I might just have that party to show off my newfound organization. I’ll be the envy of all my friends and little do they know how easy it is. Come on over and join the party!
